Belonging to Yourself: The Coaching Program

When understanding your people-pleasing isn't enough

The skills the people-pleasing books leave out.

"Belonging so fully to yourself that you're willing to stand alone is a wilderness… But it turns out to be the place of true belonging, and it's the bravest and most sacred place you will ever stand."
— Brené Brown, Braving the Wilderness

That wilderness doesn't feel brave at first. It feels horrible. That's the part the books skip, and it's exactly what we work on together: the skills to stay with yourself when standing alone feels unbearable, until it becomes the place you belong.

Is this you?

You've read the books. You know you're people-pleasing. You can even explain where it comes from. And still:

  • You know what you want to say, and you freeze

  • You rehearse it a hundred times, then never say it

  • When you finally speak up, you spin out, soften it, or over-explain until they understand

  • You ask yourself, "I know better, so why do I keep doing this?"

You don't need more information. You need skills.

How it works

Belonging to Yourself is a 3-month, one-on-one coaching program. We meet on Zoom every other week, six sessions in all, and you practice between sessions with homework built around your real life.

We take the work from your head into your body, from outside you to inside where it belongs. We start with your feelings, not the why, because your feelings don't need a reason to be okay.

Each month builds one skill on top of the last: first you feel, then you own what's true, then you stay.

The 3 Months

Month 2

Own what's true.

Month 1

Feel It, Allow It.

Notice what's happening in your body in the moment, and know it's okay that you feel it.

Notice what's actually true for you, starting in small, low-risk moments, then practice owning it, first with yourself and then with someone safe.

Month 3

Stay and witness.

Stay steady when things are unresolved, with real tools for the spin and the urge to fix it.

What you walk away with

  • Your feelings become allowed, so you're less in a rush to fix them or make them go away

  • Your feelings become information about you and the situation

  • Self-trust begins, and it feels worth protecting

What's included

  • 6 one-on-one sessions on Zoom, 60 minutes each, every other week

  • Homework after every session, built around your real life

  • Text support for homework questions, with replies within one business day

  • Guided yoga nidra recordings and tools for hard moments
